The Chihuahua is one of the smallest breed of dog.
About the Chihuahua:
Life span - 12-20 years
Weight - 1.8 - 2.7 kg
Coat - Short haired ( smooth coat) and long coat.
Height - 15-25cm 6-10inch
Colour - Any
Temperament - Aggressive, devoted, alert, lively, Courageous, quick.
Companion dogs - Chihuahua are excellent companion dogs. They like attention and are loyal to their owners.
Family Pets - Chihuahua are good family pets when treated respectfully, but they do have a reputation for snapping at strangers or small children who might be threatening to them due to their small size.
Intelligence - So Chihuahua are not that intelligent they do lack in obedience, but make up for it with high adaptive intelligence.
Barking - They will often bark if they perceive a threat, known as yappers. The other cause of barking is separation anxiety.
Do Chihuahua's like to cuddle: They are playful, affectionate, & love to cuddle with their humans. They make brilliant apartment dwellers, as they can get much of their exercise indoors. A often prefer home comforts to being outside maybe because they can be a nervous dog.
Stubborn - Chihuahuas can be stubborn, strong minded and like to do their own thing, they have a reputation for being hard to train. However reward based training appeal to the Chihuahua, their is no reason they can't be trained like any dog.
The Chihuahua can be left alone if you work but they do better in pairs.
